Marvellous village views from three different hills
The south hill has a white church on its summit, with hotels and houses fanned across its lower slope, facing into the town. The long east hill climbs from a row of old windmills near the edge of the town up to a huge museum and gallery building near the peak. Close by, just over the crest of the hill, is an amphitheatre that overlooks Mylopotas far below. The steep rocky crag on the north side of Chora is the most scenic of the three hills. Houses climb about two-thirds of the way up, while a row of four churches forms a picturesque crown on the steep crest.
The views from atop each hill are completely different, but equally breathtaking.
Below is a series of photos showing the various views from all three vantage points. You can view each image in a larger format simply by clicking on the photo. To see all of the images in a slideshow-like sequence, click on the first photo. When it pops open, move your cursor toward the right side of the photo. When a “forward” arrow appears, click on it to make the next image pop up, and continue clicking on the arrow to view the photos one after the other. To move backwards, move your cursor to the left side of the picture to make the “back” arrow appear, and click near that.

Either way, I hope you enjoy these terrific views of one of the most scenic hillside villages in the Greek Islands!
