Vento has opened for its first summer on Mykonos. Situated on the Gialos harbourside promenade in Mykonos Town, Vento specializes in fine Italian cuisine. The restaurant opened late last fall.

(The article Calamari made of gold on Keep Talking Greece was one of dozens that reported on the incident.) His was just one of hundreds of scathing reviews posted on TripAdvisor, where customers regularly complain about what they feel are misleading business practices.

Can’t say for certain yet since this is the time of year that restaurants, nightclubs and beach clubs start closing up, usually on very short notice. Based on past years, you’ll find beach clubs open at Paraga and Paradise the first week of October, and possibly Super Paradise, too (though Divine Sea & More at that beach has already closed). We’re still watching for announcements about operating dates for other venues, and will post closing information in this blog post if/when any venues make it available.

Hi, we are planning of going to Mykonos at the end of April 2022, are all the bars, beach clubs and parties open then?

The short answer is no, not all of the bars and beach clubs will be open at the end of April. Some will be, especially for the Greek Easter holiday weekend of April 22-24, but the travel season typically doesn’t start until May, so bigger bars and clubs generally don’t open until the middle of May or June. May is low season, so a lot of places are just opening up, and there aren’t enough tourists on the island for everything to be open. There will be some parties, but no huge crowds or wild parties like you may have seen in videos — that happens from late June until September when the island is packed with people.
