Paradise beach would likely be the best place for partying with your daughters, since two of the clubs there — Paradise and Tropicana — are geared to a young crowd (mainly 20s, but also late teens and 30s). They are close together so you can check out both party scenes to see which you all prefer. ITBeach is another option there with a somewhat older demographic because it’s more expensive.
However, it might be a good idea to have your daughters scan through my blog post to see which venues they might prefer. They could check social media pages for each club to see which party scene appeals to them the most.

Looks like all of the beach clubs will be open until at least mid September. None have announced their closing dates yet.

Are there many major DJs in September in Mykonos or do the international ones finish in August?

I would say there are some, rather than many, and mostly at Scorpios and in early September ay Alemagou.

We’re planning a trip to Europe (from the US) with a few friends for a 40th birthday – arriving September 8 and were hoping to do Mykonos (Ibiza as a fallback). I know it’s no longer high season, but would you expect a lot of lively action still at this time of year, or better to go straight to Ibiza?

The island will still be buzzing and lively. Some clubs will be closed or closing by the 8th, but there will be plenty more still open, including Scorpios, Ftelia, Alemagou and Cavo Paradiso, as well as the clubs at Paradise, Super Paradise and Paraga. September is always busy on Mykonos because it’s considered the best month to visit by many travellers. Can’t comment on how Ibiza compares because I haven’t been there.
