On Friday October 15, the festival presented the Antonis Theocharis Koukas film “Manto”; on Saturday October 16 it screened the Spyros Tzoka film “The circle of futile actions,” and on Sunday October 17 it presented the Dimitris Kallakis film “Ore Remembrance,” a documentary about Mykonos’ mining industry.

The world-famous Cine Manto outdoor cinema presented the premiere of “Manto,” a movie profiling the Greek Revolution heroine Manto Mavrogeni, who was from Mykonos. The film was directed by the acclaimed filmmaker, and Cine Manto owner, Andonis Theocharis Kioukas. The screening was followed by three short readings about the heroine by author Panagiotis Kousathanas.
Mykonos Art Festival presented its second “Mykonos is….2021” concert featuring performances by local music talent. The lineup for this event includes: the Mykonos rock band Vbros (Nikos and Petros Veronis); the group Methodos ton Trion – Rule of Three (Sofia Kalpourtzi, Sofia Voulgaridou & Christina Samara); the band Familia Musicatta (Daniel Kousathanas), Olga Tsigra, Sofia Kalpourtzi , Stefanos Ladopoulos, Konstantinos Fragis & Marios Xidakis); and Evripides Masakis, Kostas Nikolopoulos and Aggelos Papakosta.
