On Friday August 5, the Veronis Brothers (V Bros) appear for their weekly rock show at The Dublin at Agios Stefanos. The live performance is mainly in Greek and features classic rock tunes as well as some modern adaptations.

The Rascals bring their live rock show to Notorious on Saturday August 6

 

Notorious presents a unique evening of food and music with its special Pokéomo event on Sunday August 7.  The dinner features a fusion of Mykonos flavours and Pacific island traditions, and singer-songwriter Kelly Kaltsi will be entertaining.  Kelly says her performance has “cabaret and jazz elements,” as well as pop (songs such as Valerie by Amy Winehouse and I Follow Rivers by Lykka Li) and some of her own original songs.

If you don’t get the chance to catch Kelly Kaltsi’s live show during the Pokéomo dinner event at Notorious on Sunday August 7, you’ll have more  opportunities this week. Kelly will be back at Notorious, singing nightly from Tuesday August 9 through Saturday August 13.

Saxophonist Giuseppe Fabris will be giving a special performance during the opening reception for Elysium Drag Queens, a new exhibition featuring works by photographer Vasilis Lagios. The reception takes place at 10 p.m. August 11 at Spyral Art Gallery at 24 Mavrogeni Street. Complimentary drinks will be served. 

 

Kensho Boutique Hotel & Suites at Ornos will be holding another When Kensho Meets Tango event on Saturday August 13, with tango dancers and music by DJ Jako. The event starts at 10 pm.

 If you’re on Mykonos on Monday August 22, don’t miss a unique opportunity to enjoy a “magical night” that will support a “mythical place” — Delos island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Under the light of the full moon on Delos, Greek contemporary folk singer Eleftheria Arvanitaki will appear in concert, singing songs with lyrics inspired by Greek poets and Nobel laureates.  Tickets cost €50 each and can be purchased at Cine Manto, the Delos Tours kiosk near Mykonos Town Hall, and at Pasaji restaurant at Ornos. The tickets include round-trip ferry transportation between Mykonos Town and Delos. Boats will depart at 7.30 p.m. and return  to  Mykonos at 11 p.m. Proceeds from the concert will go towards restoration projects on Delos.
