The IFFP’s mission, according to a statement on the IFFP Facebook page, is “to create an exceptional context where filmmakers and filmlovers gather in this uniquely spiritual Greek island to share their common love for quality cinema, present and discuss their ideas and experiences, benefit from master classes and workshops, or simply relish the visual and intellectual inspiration offered by carefully selected feature films, short films & documentaries.”

Besides film screenings, the festival features a series of seminars and workshops on film and filmmaking.
